Salt Lake City, Utah/May 20, 2009 - Million Air-Salt Lake City employee, Jimmy Ray, is the recipient of the 2009 National Air Transportation’s General Aviation Service Technician Award. Mr. Ray, a veteran of the aviation industry, has been with Million Air – Salt Lake City since 1998, currently serving as the Chief Inspector of Maintenance. The award is presented annually to a licensed airframe, power plant mechanic, or radio repairman who has demonstrated outstanding performance and practiced his or her craft for more than twenty years.  

As Chief Inspector, Mr. Ray oversees the airworthiness of aircraft serviced by Million Air –Salt Lake City and ensures compliance with the manufacturer’s and FAA’s guidelines and regulations. “Jimmy sets the example for top-of-the line professionalism,” said Bill Hoddenbach, Director of Maintenance Operations for Million Air – Salt Lake City. “He is committed to the highest service in the industry and imparts that professionalism to his coworkers and our customers. He is a dedicated and valued member of our team and it’s great to see him recognized with this award.”

Mr. Ray will be honored at the NATA Air Charter Summit and FBO Leadership Conference being held in June in Chantilly, Virginia.
