De/Anti-Icing Procedures

 

Million Air SLC offers the following de/anti-icing fluids:

 
De-ice:         UCAR PG ADF 55/45 TYPE 1 mix Propylene Glycol heated to 180°F
 
Anti-ice:       UCAR Flightgaurd TYPE 4 100% Propylene Glycol
 
Note:            All aircraft must have TYPE 1 applied before TYPE 4
 
 

Million Air SLC De/Anti-Icing Procedures:

 
Step 1:   Please notify line personnel or a customer service representative if you need De-icing at least 15 min prior to departure.
 
Step 2:   Contact Salt Lake Ground on 121.90 and taxi north on Kilo to our de-ice Pad. If the de-ice pad is occupied please continue on to kilo 4 and back taxi on the inner taxi way  There will be a marshaller there to guide you into the spot.
 
Step 3:   Contact the De-ice Truck frequency 128.85, advise on what services you are requesting and configure your aircraft for de-icing. 
 
Step 4:   When the de/anti-ice process is complete, you will be given the start of your holdover time, type of fluid(s) used, and confirmation a clean and clear aircraft.
 
Step 5:   To taxi back on to Taxi Way Kilo, you can turn left and enter at Kilo 3.  For larger aircraft, or if you are unable to make the turn, taxi north on the Inner Ramp and enter Kilo at Kilo 4.
